1st Apologies, you’re disqualified for asking on Cafe Pharma!

2nd Best job I have had.

3rd Merit increase, stock equity, pension.

It has gotten immeasurably better since 12/31/24 when Laura Viaches was bounced out. I guess her plan to implement her personal woke agenda backfired on her. I’m sure that the hiring lawsuit against Lilly scared leadership into the reorganization.

Sadly, she’s likely to impose that on some other poor unsuspecting group in the industry. If you know where she went, those folks deserve to be warned.

Maybe she has joined a far left political org with like-minded whackos.

Not sure if this applies but Lilly has been sued for illegal and discriminatory hiring practices based on age over the past 2-3 years. Based on this information, there needs to be an ERG for employees over 40 who want to start and progress their careers at Lilly. I can't recall Lilly being sued for not hiring or promoting women, african americans, the disabled, LGBTQ, latinos etc, but ERGs exist for them.

Viaches was the queen of DEI. For the last years she worried here, she focused on getting rid of whites over 40, mostly men. Now she’s the queen of karma, since she’s white, and over 40, she got reorganized into a job where she has no direct reports (since she’s been forced to start a one person consulting practice). How ironic.

Thinking about Lilly, eh? Here it is wrapped up nicely for you in a few words.
1. Are you a male? Well good luck here, thats all I'm going to say. Are you a white male? Small chance at getting hired and zero chance of getting promoted
2. Are you a female? Chances are you'll get the job and enjoy your experience here. Are you a non white female? Well, chances are you'll be promoted very quickly to management.

I left Lilly a few years ago after working over 5 years so I get a very small pension. People stay for this “pension” but I ended up almost doubling my salary at another pharma company so the grass is greener on the other side. Also, the DBU was a nightmare! Too many reps in a territory! Is that incompetent witch Amy Jorgenson still there? Talk about a bad DEI hire!

Nope AJ was shown the door. Sometimes Lilly Leadership does the right thing.
