WHO WE ARE

McMoran, O’Connor, Bramley & Burns P.C. is widely recognized as one of the leading employment law firms in the northeast. We are not a general practice. We specialize in employment law. We have been at the forefront of protecting employee rights under New Jersey’s whistleblowing statute, the Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA). We are the firm that successfully represented Joel Lippman, the former Chief Medical Officer of Ethicon, Inc., in the landmark case of Lippman v. Ethicon, Inc., 222 N.J. 362 (2015), in which the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled that “watchdog” employees are protected by CEPA. After a six-week trial against Ethicon, Inc. and its parent company, Johnson & Johnson, the case settled on a confidential basis.

We carefully select every case we handle and maintain the highest level of commitment from the first day we meet our clients through trial or settlement. The firm has recovered over $100 million in jury verdicts and settlements for our clients since the firm was founded in 1998.
