As the great Maggie Thatcher pointed out so accurately, Socialism works great until you run out of other people’s money. We subsidize those socialist freeloaders.
Agree with this. Many of the world's happiest people live in N European socialist countries. It's just American propoganda to think socialism is so terrible. Things not so great here.
Some Socialism works, Soc Sec, Interstate Highways, etc. too much is too much, not enough is not enough. You need the right blend.
Socialism never works as well as free market solutions. Capitalism has produced the highest standard of living in human history. Socialism hasn’t. Case closed.
Some of the countries listed have higher standard of living than US. How do you explain that?

What sort of innovation and new products and technologies have those nations provided? What do those countries provide to ensure their own security and the security of the free world?
They are parasites who grow fat off of us, so sure some of them are going to have higher standards of living. We subsidize them. We have to fund the world's best armed forces. We ensure the peace and security of the world. We pay for medical innovation which they enjoy. Did they benefit from the Marshal Plan?

Christianity and capitalism is what’s needed in greater amounts. Not socialism.
They have Christianity dumbass, that's what led them to be benevolent with those who have not - it was Jesus who led them there.

They have no defense budget, give no foreign aid to anyone, no space program, no open borders, etc., etc. that cost us trillions.

The Scandinavian countries are Christian in name only. They are actually post-Christian societies and as such are beginning to decay. Right now they’re still living off the moral capital and momentum of when they were actually Christian nations.
Socialism doesn’t work in the long term. Christianity actually practiced and capitalism is the way to go.
Another important distinction. The only reason these nations have anything to redistribute is because they generate their wealth through CAPITALISM and then redistribute that wealth in a huge and inefficient welfare system. But the only reason that works is because of the capitalist element that is the core of their economy. They aren’t really socialist and we still subsidize them incredibly. They also don’t have any socioeconomic underclass to speak of either.
If somebody is subsidizing your nation substantially and WE ARE, then you really haven’t figured out anything.
Those who face actual reality are the first to pray.
