Funny thing as i went post the no spam question was "A carrot is the color?"- Anyway. Why is there a need for recruiters. They hired us once, what's wrong with us now. With that being said, I do not mind to interview and will appreciate a position. I just hope they don't low ball us with a pay cut because of the situation we are in. Why would they let us go for 10 days- It does not make sense? For them and of course not us.

Please don't tell me you actually believed that post. As if a recruiter would have that information available to them, let alone spill it to some random rep. The poster's yankin your chain and laughing while you're trying to figure out the logic behind a "10 day" lag time. Don't let yourself be psychologically manipulated by this dipshit. The post is completely ludicrous.

there has been other things passed on to me from a DM that allows me to believe the post, but managment could be yanking their chain as well. You would have to believe they have been working on securing something because they will be out of business if they dont. NQ would not have made it this far if they could not secure at least one contract in the last 7 months. Ventiv, PDI, PSS and On call have all secured contracts as of late and some multiple deals. Who knows and I don't know what believe that is why someone from corprate should say something formally because the sun is setting. This type of environment you would think would be prime time for a contract sales organization.

I think another contract is coming. Just wish it was sooner, rather than later. Maybe it's because NQ works from an equity parntership angle, and the others are just contract sales teams. Higher stakes.

I understand wanting answers... but we will have an answer soon.. they are working on this and it is top priority. Be positive, and also we are very lucky to have the top guys that we do, they are working extremely hard and something good is going to come of it for us. patience.

Appreciate the comments. And I agree, we are lucky with the top guys. Given the market, hey, I'd rather be with NQ than the other company that are down sizing. I'll take these odds anyday. Those that are new to the pharmaceutical industry, get over yourselves. You have no right to bad mouth management and what they are doing.

I agree with being in contract sales force while Big Pharma is downsizing but who's to say like 6275 big pharma renege on the original agreement....granted it was a drug pending approval but look at the lilly contract - suppose to be 3yrs but ended up less than one....all i'm saying nothing is guaranteed but contracts shouldn't abruptly end without securing another so in the end we are not hoping and praying for a miracle

They should always be working on securing contracts, regardless of what contract is coming up or going down. It is a numbers game just like a rep does everyday. Everone in this business has heard "Just because a doctor is a good writer does not mean they can't write more." The same applies. The more contracts NQ has the more successful NQ is. Can't put all your eggs in one basket, Its better to have alot of baskets. Just like a manufacturer has drugs, CSO's have contracts. I heard one of the higher ups say in our training class that "Last year they turned down more than one potential contracts." The whole time I am thinking WHY.

And what makes you think that Qunitlies (NQ) is not continueously working on securing on contracts? Just because the higher ups don't talk about it does not mean that they are not working on it? Also, I'd rather be on a contract that makes good business sense, than be on one that could potentially lose money, then end abruptly. The whole securing contracts business is at a level we don't understand. And I think the Joe's, Kirk's and others know the business.

I couldn't agree more with the quote above... I knew when Joe C. came in the room the first day of training in Chicago that We were in good hands. He is a smart man and I trust that he is doing everything he can for us. I am glad I have him working on getting this contract than the guys at the other big pharma co.'s, they are plain crazy. I feel lucky to be with novaquest.

I am sure they (Innovex, Novaquest, Quintiles) are continueously working on securing contracts , but unfortunately they have nothing to show for it as far back as last summer. My belief is you take on every oppurtunity that comes your way and how well you negotiate before signing day insures that NQ does not lose $$ and makes good business sense. I am glad it is Joe and whoever else doing the securing of contracts and I TRUST THEY WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN, otherwise I would not care. I would not want it on my back. That is also why he makes whole lot more than me. Honestly, I have no idea how it all works but this is just an opinion and that is all it is just an opinion.

0% before our deadline. We will all be let go and will have to reapply. Just not enough time, 5 days and we have had heard no formal information. If someone knows anything spill the beans. I do beleive they will have something in the near future that is inevitable. Hey NQ how about a little compassion?

You are probably correct. But, if we do have to reaply, then so be it. There is no guarantee and with all the displaced reps from big pharma, may the best person get the position. That is the reality.

Sorry, I do not agree. NQ should NOT take on every oppurtunity. Remember, the NQ division is based on equity. I was told that many companies approach NQ, but if it does not make good business sense, then why throw money in to a poor deal?

What is up with these field managers are they going to have positions past Apr 6th. They don't return our phone calls. They won't tell us anything going on. Did not even know about there conference calls. Why not just tell us we are not going to be needed but wish us the best of luck.

Am I the only one who would like a conference call? Even if it's bad news, tell us SOMETHING! How many of us have added "Cafe Pharma Surfing" as a new hobby?

I hear ya and agree 100%...just an update...something...geez it's been over 4 weeks since our last conference call....definitely Cafe Pharma Surfing, what the hell else is there to do other than job search which is also a new hobby! Come on NQ!

Ya think they'll even give us a word? How crappy would that be for Monday (April 6) to come and go with not a word at all?

What is this J&J and Roche business all about. Come on spill the beans. Who knows what. I cannot wait until Monday. This is being via THE PADDED ROOM. Please help get me off my meds.Tell me.....Please.

I know it is April fools, they are going to call all of us today individually like a real company and tell us we have a contract....oh then I remembered it is April Foolz!!!!

We are the only april FOOLS. counting on NQ to pull through
