Day 1: when and who?

This won't end with justice and liberty for all.....it's about how to make more money. There will be winners and losers, and not neccessarily who you think. Next drawing: about Day 30.

At least they arent rushing into anything right now. I think in 100 days we will know more about possible layoffs, synergy, etc. At least consider that a blessing for now. We all have time to take deep breaths and figure our future out!

Other than the date, this prediction was right on.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here...Fougera is going to remain a legally separate entity within Novartis Sandoz. I'm supposing that Fougera keeps its name. Is that correct?

"Fougera, whose history as a leader in US dermatology goes back more than 160 years to its founding in 1849, will be integrated into Sandoz’s US business based in Princeton, New Jersey, but will continue to exist as a separate legal entity. Fougera, based in Melville, New York, will be home to a new center of excellence for generic dermatology development and manufacturing within the global Sandoz network."

Well, the Sandoz name isn't exactly sterling, so I would think it would be beneficial for them to keep the Fougera name, at least for the short term.

I think you have an inflated opinion of how important the Fougera name is. Most people have never heard of it, nor can they even say it. When you have to produce an mp3 teaching people how to say Fougera, you are already in trouble. People recognize the yellow/white packaging, not the company name.

No, I was saying that an anonymous, unknown name would be preferable. And the more unpronounceable, the better.

I am guessing after these "100 days" and by then end of the year, the branded dermatology sales force will disappear.Unless they buy or produce other derm products this doesn't suit their purpose. So to the Pharmaderm sales force keep your ears and eyes open you have about 4-5 months.

Here's how I see it:

Sandoz purchased Fougera for the top earning products we either make or have made for us. Those will be tech transferred elsewhere where it's cheaper to manufacture. The rest they will sell off. I mean we all know the profit margins we have on some of our products. Barely worth keeping.

Once that is complete, they will sell off all assets including the people. This is what they do.

The sooner people realize that it's a probability, the better. Then you can make the choice to either see it through, or take a package when it's offered.

You don't see very well, do you? Let me adjust your prescription. They have NO semi-solid manufacturing ability. Where are they going to move our stuff? They have a ton of GMP problems at their own sites (like Warning Letters, etc.). The last thing they need is a ton of tech transfers. There is NO WAY they shut down MFG on Long Island. Count on it.

And, you should know, people are not sold. That became illegal over 100 years ago.

I think there's some merit to what the other poster says. Do you think they really want to sell white pet and vit a & d ointment (IE:bottom hanging fruit) all over the world? I don't think so.

Seems plausible that they want only the money makers and to take them worldwide. Tech transferring them is NOT as complex as many people make it out to be.

I can see that selling off the rest and then the properties and contents of them would help them make all their money back inside of two years.

A sure thing? No. But definitely possible. But I liked your quip about selling people.

Glad to see people not bashing each other too hard here now.

Yeah, it's not like they could just magically find a third party to manufacture their semi-solids.
Oh, wait....

Money makers? We're not a blockbuster company. We are a company with a lot of diverse small and medium products. Do you really think they would take our top handful of products that might make them what, $20MM of profit a year and ship them out and then sell the rest for a break even? They are a 10 billion dollar company. That's not how a $10BB company grows or runs its business. It's hard to believe how poor the business acumen is amongst most on this board....really pathetic.

Ha! Did you post this from your helicopter?
