leave her alone and give it a chance. To the OP. There is a gentleman with s PhD on the team and there is a former PA on the team as well. As with anything, you don't know how well a person is fit for the position until they do it. We all have been there every time we change companies, professions etc. the DC team is a unique one and it takes a special type of person to lead it. So let her lead.
