how about saleforce.com?
Salesforce.com is better. At least it allows us keep track of our pipeline and properly move the sale through the sales cycle. It seems to be more functional than Quick Base. I don’t understand the purpose of Quick Base. A CRM is fine. The problem is the WR calls. They serve no purpose. Waste of time with no real benefit coming from them. Trust me. I am not even a disgruntled employee like the others on here. I actually like working here but I still think it sucks and is not really working. End WR calls!!!! Give us that hour to be more productive and prepare and plan for our meetings. That is a smarter use of our time instead of listening to our teammates spin the lies they feel pressured to tell. What a joke. It is not working.
let me guess...you probably think life long convatec pioneers like Patrick F and John M are the answer to bring this company back to glory, right?? LMFAO!! For those on here that are so negative and disgruntled...leave if it’s that bad. Fact is you’re so talentless you cannot land a gig anywhere else because all you know is what BMS taught you in the 90’s. Guess what..this is a different world now if you can’t handle it then retire. Fucking trolls.
good luck to you! hopefully all of those companies that are so interested in you have really low quotas, otherwise you won’t be making more money because you clearly are not capable of closing business!
Exciting times are ahead for those of us that bring value. If you don't bring value, I can assure you it has been noted. No more flying under the radar. No more free rides. The bar is being raised. This is NOT a Pharma job anymore. Work hard, work smart, rise above the mediocrity and you may keep your job. Great place to be if you have what it takes.
Mic drop. Best comment so far. This is 100% accurate. Nail on the head.Great! Start with no clear tangible direction AT ALL from Senior Management (where mediocrity rules). Until George, there was no clear direction whatsoever. Even if you tell us the what, nobody tells us the how, (no solid plan or strategy, JUST SELL MORE). It is NOT the sales teams job to develop strategy. Sales implements the strategy that comes down from above, (Marketing and Management). So lets not blame the TMs and the RSMs for the shity results--- There's something called a mirror, have a look into one, and accept responsibility - stop pointing fingers, its not going to work this time. BTW the not so veiled threat above, "you may keep your job" is a joke - Can you say close to 0% unemployment???? Oh and the mediocrity is well spread out throughout the organization; top to bottom.
Unless George brings in experienced management and marketing teams, (that means people that command good pay) we will all soon be on the unemployment line. Free rides???? WTF are you even talking about.? Many recent hires, (past 3 years) couldn't get a pharma job anyway, they don't either have the IQ or they lack college degrees. We now buy the cheapest ("human resources "instead of paying for the BEST). This idiotic philosophy has cost us big time. We burn through field reps like toilet paper, thats why there is no access- there are no relationships. Some territories have had more than 5 reps in a period of 5 years. Companies that are winning DON'T do this stuff. Wake up. Fix it fast. We are really rooting for you George, and wish you success- Please fix our Company!
The "Career path of a successful TM" does not necessarily need to be an RSM. Some representatives do not want to be a manager as that is a totally different skill set. They could become a regional sales trainer, or participate in new product pilots, or conference teams. Just expand their role within sales. Also, being promoted to manage your former teammates rarely goes well, and we have seen that fail many times. If someone really wants to become an RSM, and they have the skill set to be a manager, they should be willing to move to another region. On a side note, perhaps there should be a management training program. If someone successfully progresses through that, they could be considered when there is an opening elsewhere. Our top representatives may not want to give up that life and decent earnings to babysit fellow TMS, put up with the insanity of corporate politics and busy administrative work. The quality of life is not as great as you seem to think. I know. What is the career path of a successful TM previous poster? Would you rather your RSM have no knowledge of our industry or products? I prefer a manager who understands our business and also to have VPs who have industry knowledge over new people that have no clue.
There is no rhyme or reason to how people get promted at this company. The promtion process is a joke. I have watched undeserving idiots at the bottom of the totem pole get promoted left and right while those who actually deserve it not get promoted at all. There are no real growth opportunities here for a TM unless you are one of the favorites. It is all based on favortism. The "Career path of a successful TM" does not necessarily need to be an RSM.
