This post is laughable. Joe has fired 3 Regional Sales Directors and 3 VPs since he has been here. The Sales continue to decline, turnover is at an all time hight and people dont trust him. His results speak for themselves.

Hello, hoping someone can help me out here; I'm thinking of looking into a Dendreon sales position, as I currently travel 4 days/week and have at least 2 to 3 overnites/week. Successful, but the travel is wearing on me and was something that the expressly stated would be minimum when I originally took the position. I've heard good things about Dendreon, but came here to review opinions and saw this thread. Who is the current VP of sales? Is he new? Has there been recent turnover in the VP of Sales position as well as the others posted in this thread?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

You should just call the company. It is hard to get valid information here if you are new to the board. There is ONE person who writes the same script over and over seemingly to push the company on people (probably investors). The threads are covered by his posts saying every name he hears is a pleasure to work with and he is glad they are here and that they are a good guy. Sometimes he acts as a straw-man saying he agrees with his own posts. Seems like a desperate investor.

Our VP of Commercial is Joe Di Pinto and he gas been with the company 1.5 years. Many of the senior management came in at that time. Joe and the rest of senior management are seasoned and highly skilled biotech veterans and are a pleasure to work with. As would be expected, when the new senior team came in there was some turnover at the top. I think Dendreon is a great company to work for. I have been here nearly 3 years. Good luck.

Thanks; I saw De Pinto's name on the website and read up on his experience. But in doing a search on the VP of Sales, I see a Tom Riga was in that position, but apparently not anymore. My concern is that he was only there for a year or so.

So was wondering who they hired into that position or if anyone has even filled it yet.

No need for concern. Tom made millions in the stock market and retired young.

Well, I wasn't concerned for the former VP of Sales; my concern is that he was hired and let go within a year it seems? Just wanted to get info on how it's going, as a VP of Sales being hired and fired in a year is kind of a red flag even given the great things I've heard about working for Dendreon.

He was not fired. He retired. You heard correctly that Dendreon is a good place to work.
