The real problem is that this site is for bottom dweller reps who have sour grapes, looking for anybody but themselves to blame their poor careers on. I can't believe the shit on this board. My dm is cool, supportive, and promotes career development. I will not visit this site again.

If you are trying to quote the fable of Sour Grapes, you have mispoken. The story was about not being able to attain the grapes and therefore referring to them as "sour grapes". Stick to sports talk spupid mf'er
 




I see S.B. and T.C of Miami are having posts deleted. Typical, you have nothing better to do with your time. Nice management ladies! How about you go fake some more ride-alongs. Better be careful about conspiring with Leslie and picking on your reps and their calls. Perhaps you should watch that you aren't faking your ride alongs on weekends and holidays! Pathetic!

I can assure you that this site is not all "bottom dwellers"... I happen to be one of several who have posted on this board who just happens to be at the top of this pile of S#!T at Novartis!!!

Novartis has lost the respect of most of the field force and even since they lost THE LAWSUIT", they refuse to make the necessary changes. They ARE aware of the crap that folks are putting up with out here! There is no morale left in the field, and the way Novartis is continuing to treat their employees, it's not getting any better. Just think of Novartis as a huge dry sponge... It will soak everything out of you before you know it!

Glad you have a "dm" who is "cool, supportive, and promotes career development". Those are EXTREMELY rare within this organization, so yes, you should be grateful! Just in case you are a "dm", you really should get another job...

Most "dm's" have learned the fine art of kissing up and covering their tails...at the expense of the rep. The saga continues!
 




What can a manager teach you after you have been in the field for a couple of years? Not much if anything. We just all nod, smile, and pretend their suggestions are unique and helpful to stay in their good graces

After several years, I'm having a really difficult time of continuing to nod and smile. Enough is enough.
 


There is one manager in Virginia who anyone reading this site knows who it is if you live in the state.This manager is being investigated by HR but continues to harass employees.

If you ever sold in other industries you know that about the only time any manager rode along was if you requested, and usually to help close a deal. When I first came to pharma I thought this practice was insane and often questioned why, afterall, I am experienced in sales (that was a requirement for the job), an adult and have proven to Novartis that I am responsible.

That is because pharma is not a sales gig, it is a customer service gig. And your "Sales managers" are not, they are customer service managers, much like a call center in indonesia.

Real sales people don't have time for useless managers, and because thier compensation is commission based, they will not put up with some jerkoff wasting thier time.

Leads with fear and that is about all you can say. Also past HR nightmare with Pfizer
Novartis sees Pfizer on paper and thinks they rule. Think again
