Where I work (not saying) two reps were fired based on fake calls that were tracked back using whatever the hell they have on the IPADS. It was done through HR and not through any manager. No manager can run any kind of report as that would be illegal - I am told. He also said that in general the above poster is correct. There is so much BS in this industry that no one really cares. Blatant offenders who simply stay home all the time are the ones that end up getting in trouble. We have simply been told you are expected to work from 9 to 4 in the field. I do not think that is too much to ask for a six figure job.

Dude: You asked for a story based on fact. There is was. I don't give a shit if you do not want to believe it. It is well known in our entire region. HR can indeed run a report that tracks exactly where your IPad has been within about 20 ft. It does not matter if you have turned it off or location services.

How long do companies retain this tracking data? Is it stored for future reference or just accessed live?

He and a few other top Apple geeks all dressed up as Pirates and called Apple's Board of Directors "The Navy". What was the significance of Steve Jobs doing this and telling us this after his Board meeting long long ago?

When President Reagan was first sworn in he found the country was broke. To beat Russia and keep us going he created "Trust Funds" for each Federal Agency, their budget for that year was dumped into them and they were told to go out and invest that money. So they would have money to operate off of and pay their employees-retirees.

Steve Jobs was saying....the Navy was the investor that took over Apple and had evil intentions with its future. The Navy became the Board of Directors. Poor Steve got chased away from Apple shortly after his "Pirates" escapade and went on with his digital video company.

The Navy went on to turn Apple into a cheap hardware-data mining company to provide worldwide intelligence for them. They made alllll the money they needed to keep all their ships going as well. Thats why Apple doesn't use "off the shelf" mass produced cheap processors all the computer makers use and instead makes their own Ipad processor in Texas.

That processor likely has features like Intel's vPro and Intel AMT. Your laptop with Intel vPro/AMT can be accessed even when its powered down. Even if you rip out the harddrive, memory....it still can be accessed. They created an operating system in the chipset that can run without the hard drive. It can also bypass ANY firewall/network and use "Out of Band" communication wirelessly to talk to allll the servers now listening for these "Out of Band" communications. You never even know when this new Intel feature is on and running.

They now possess "God Like" powers in the electronics realm far beyond what most people imagine. (((Buy ALL the pre-2003 computers you come across. They will be worth their weight in Gold as the world realizes whats happened.)))

To have some PRIVACY while owning a corporate Ipad, dont bring it into your home. Leave it in your car under the seat. Be aware of ALL devices in your home with wireless capability that your Corporate Ipad could secretly connect to. Even with that Corporate Ipad in the car it can wirelessly connect to anything Bluetooth or wireless to spy on you in your own home.

We've reached a point where its almost impossible to have ANY privacy whatsoever. Don't EVER give them a reason to be put on a list.....getting a tone broadcasted at your head to keep you from sleeping will take your health away. That new power is no longer a secret and they've used it on many people....even their fellow countrymen.

This genie can't ever be put back into the bottle.

This may all be true, but why does my company send emails to reps when the location on option is turned to off? You would think the IPAD is sooooo trackable there is no need to turn on location services.

worked with a rep whose % of sigs gotten before 9 AM and after 4PM, in a micro territory with lousy access, was below the region average, was fired based on the above, they also "matched" gas receipts vs where she claimed she was making calls. Her numbers were good, never ranked last, generally in the middle of rankings, very attractive, great personality, offices loved her.
Why she was targeted I don't know, but I'm guessing someone with very little time on their hands decided to run a series of reports and look for "outliers", maybe some crazy idea put forth by a manager trying to draw attention to themselves.

PS - landed a great job in Specialty, same general territory, only larger, no team mates to trip over in offices. Company lost a good rep.

And this was a while ago, pre iPads, so you KNOW that can collect much more info now vs then.
 


It is truly amazing how naive Reps have become! Ipads are tracked by all companies not only with MobileIron but also other software. You can turn it off if it makes you feel better but it can still be tracked by each companies IT as well as Company Security.

Now let's discuss the fool who posted about telling them of anyone ever being fired due to this. You know of anyone fired for records falsification? How do you think that happens these days? It's more than tracking gas purchases and locations. The company never needs to divulge how they got their info just call you out on the info they have after calling physician offices and doing a "survey". HR will have laid out your track and do the investigating based on your Ipad location pings. It's pretty simple and naive Reps will never learn due to their own ignorance.

How do you defeat the tracking? Simple answer, buy a case now readily available that blocks all GPS and Cell Signals. You then fall off the screen despite the hidden software running in the background. Take it out of it's case in the parking lot...power on....make your call...power off...put in bag. Don't believe me? I don't really give a sh!t if you do or not, it's free advice.
 






If you are a good employee, why do you care if you are being tracked. The CO. is paying you to work all day every workday. Back in the day we made 7 doc calls (legitimate and we did have to wait to see the biggest docs just like current day), 3 nursing home calls, and 2 pharmacy calls. Starting at 8ish, and ending no later than 5:30 ish most days, it was accomplished. Newsflash...you have to keep moving and working all day to hit these metrics. We still had time to stop for drycleaning once per week and lunch every day. We did not take off early or come in late to get to the healthclub, etc. Majority were at the very least hard workers with real work ethic. Granted we did not have coffee shops to hang in, websites to keep up with Match.com, or laptops to play on the internet, but there was and always will be plenty of temtations for those that scam the company.

Those that scam the company?? I've got news for you cochise…The company is scamming the employees, the payers, the patients, and just about everyone else…

get off your high horse and go make your 12 calls a day….the 15 X 15 guy has it right--not you.
 




No company I've worked for only allows 7 calls per day. 9 minimum, and yes, legitimate calls. You aren't any better than all the rest of us. I work hard, make my quota, make the calls, walk the walk and talk the talk. They track me 24-7, and so be it. Doesn't mean I'm not ticked about it. Even if I'm not cheating the system, I'd be plenty happy to find a way to screw up their tracking just because.
