It'll close in September, after the FTC cuts a deal to save face. Hopefully they'll tackle the real problems like grocery store chains that price gouge.
Strategic Marketing refuses to go to California!! We will strike!
Why do you think Amgen wants anyone from "strategic marketing"? LMAO! Better start looking at Astellas, Lundbeck, Baxter, and Abbvie for employment. Oh wait, many of you were let go by these firms prior to coming to mother Horizon.Strategic Marketing refuses to go to California!! We will strike!

Marketing and anything in the mother ship definitely not safe. No way Deerfield is being kept open longer than a year...probably 6 months.

Too soon to start speculating on the close date…October perhaps?
You overestimate how Amgen views everyone’s worth, and underestimate Amgen’s desire to cut costs. Not only did they pay a premium for Horizon and are continuing to lose revenue on Enbrel, but they also are well known for frequently restructuring to save money. They’ve already had 9 months to gather info and figure out how to cut costs. Horizon is overweight in sales, and neither Amgen or any other pharma company really value any experience marketing a certain product. Experience with one is just as good as experience with another. The increase in revenue with Tepezza and Krystexxa has come mostly from increasing the cost of the drugs, not from anything marketing or sales has done despite adding more people. Deerfield will be closed, and Amgen isn’t going to find somewhere new to house marketing, nor will they allow marketing to operate remotely. It won’t happen overnight, but it won’t take very long.

We don’t care. We will replace all you Horizon people. While it's true that Amgen doesn't value people or employees, they do value reputation and money. Horizon was ranked first in Overall Corporate Reputation by the Rare Disease community. Amgen has a lot to learn from Horizon around rare disease before making any significant cuts. Horizon is already lean with sales and marketing. One way for Amgen to recuperate costs is to raise prices, which they may already have plans to do. Oct is the time frame to complete the deal.
dumb rephaha sales is overweight? 64 reps in the RSAM gbu and what half that in Nsam- total revenue will be close to 1 billion. Amgen will likely big pharma this and actually add reps. Fact.
I’m the OP for this last comment. I was only joking and I don’t know how to remove it. We recognize that we need to learn from you and it will take time. Horizon is clearly the leader in rare disease and our hope is to build on that foundation. We don’t really have anyone in sales or marketing to achieve your level of success. We’ve had several failed launches and dissolved several divisionsWe don’t care. We will replace all you Horizon people.
