I guess you don’t understand how the economy and taxes work. Southern states are amongst the poorest and receive more federal funding while providing less money back in the form of taxes as say California does. The south has the lowest literacy rate and highest poverty rate per capita. California’s economy and GDP is larger than the traditional south’s combined.

Do some research…you may surprise yourself.

Search which states are most dependent on the Federal government and which states send more money back to the reserve to fund those dependent states. How about you stop taking the money we send to the federal reserve turd?

Add to that there are basically 3-4 contenders anymore- Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson and a random team from time to time. The BCS made Bowls meaningless and now the flawed playoff system is perhaps even worse and more boring.

Not to mention the new NIL deals. I have no problem with these kids getting paid for their Name, Image, or likeness as many companies and universities were making big time money off of these athletes in exchange for a scholarship which is not a fair exchange for the big time marquee players…nonetheless this has killed college football.

The SEC is Alabama...and that's about it. UGA is a perennial pretender, U of F same thing since the Tebow era., as well as A&M. Sure LSU and Auburn show up once a decade from time to time and that's about it. UK, Vandy, USC, Ole Miss, Mizzou, MSU, Arkansas, UT, are as bad of a bottom of a conference as anywhere else. Couple that with the SEC plays a very weak non-conference schedule and it's Alabama driving the success of that conference. You can chant SEC, SEC all day long but it's really Roll Tide is what all of you should be chanting. The ESPN hype machine did a great job promoting it as a conference...at the end of the day Alabama could go the Notre Dame route and that conference would look more similar to the other Power 5 conferences.

What's even better is Saban isn't even a Southerner...

5 of the top 10 in last years final football rankings are SEC teams….counting Oklahoma. Same for baseball final rankings. The SEC is behind in basketball. The SEC won the conference directors cup for all sports combined. Texas won the individual school directors cup for all sports. So saying Alabama and that’s about it isn’t supported by facts.
