Any word on re-org

re org details

Does anyone have the specifics on the changes ? I work in strategic sourcing and wondering what the heck is going on. Will NJ head the group reporting through finance?

There is yet another Request-For-Proposal for a vendor that can absorb pretty much of what is left. Some areas won't be touched as they still need people to try and bail water until the boat can be made even smaller. Then that too will be sunk. Who will be the last rat to drown?? It's getting interesting. I feel sorry for the people who put many years in (their careers) only to be forgotten. It will save the company money in the short term. Either you go to the outsourcing Company or it means you quit J&J. No severence. The outsourcing Company has to agree to keep you a certain amount of time and then they let you go with no severence. It's a win - win - for J&J and a big big loss for the employee. The Credo at it's finest. What would General Johnson think of J&J today. I think the new Command Center they are building will be like an exhibit with manequins sitting in the chairs. The large screens showing alerts and messages that no one really cares about.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't ITSS build a command center about 3 years ago and turn it into a conference room 18 or so months later. So is this the same room or are they building another one?

Wow.. this is big news? Someone tell me what happened exactly? Means JC no longer does sourcing? who did sourcing move under? And the VMO? What does this mean for Sourcing & VMO?

Why would they remove JC's responsibility for sourcing and at the same time place VMO under another area entirely? Sounds weird... Also, how does this affect NJ going forward?

Who did the VMO go under? As far as Sourcing.. JC wasn't doing much for the last year or two anyway and NJ was running the show. So many people left under her command since she is a nasty bitch. So, either finally someone took notice of how terrible that group is and they need new leadership or NJ has managed to convince yet higher leadership to become an official VP for Sourcing. Chances are.. it's likely the latter.

I think the VMO is falling under CR. NJ wont have a chance if execs understand how she really works to get things done through her suppliers. It is a short term approach to hit people over the head every day and expect lasting results. There is a lack of trust that partners cant get around.

Who is CR?

I thought VMO and Sourcing got split and going to two different people? Where is sourcing going?

Well she reported to JC and she was SVP and now she reports to JP "Pratti" then he is just VP, right? Why would global sourcing report to NA finance? Anyway NJ is all alone in her new role as she has alienated most everyone she relies on to get results. NO trust NO results. Even her own people can't stand her and as far as suppliers go they avoid working with her as much as possible as threatening people you work with will only get you so far. Not sure why the good people get let go and other remain. Not even sure what she is working on anymore.

Any idea on the timeline for this?

What could possibly be left to further outsource?? About outsourcing the outsourcer? Help desk, IBM, could that be any worse?

If NJ is promoted it's time to sell JNJ stock. Suppliers don't like her, peers don't like, subordinates don't like her...... I just don't get it.

Looks like JC likely threw her under the bus.. Good to get a taste of her own medicine I say. She has lost so many in that organization just in a few short months and i find it surprising that HR hasn't taken any actions against her yet. There are several reasons why no one likes her but unfortunately, everyone is too afraid to call it so they are tucking her away for the time being until things settle is my guess.

Looks like CR's star is rising if she got VMO but what experience does she have to lead such an organization? This is the problem with J&J... they put bunch of inexperienced people to do a job that they have never done before. Unless they change this mentality across the board, this ship will continue to sink.
