How will we find out?

I think we all already know our fate. Those who received calls will be the ones who are kept and it appears that those of us who didn’t need to face the music that it’s all over. Best of luck to everybody, may you all find better opportunities.

So if you find a job and start within 60 days you don't get severance? I thought they had to pay you it no matter what?
No they do not have to pay you severance if you find another job. BDSI will not do a lump sum severance payout. Therefore the severance will be paid bi-weekly just like a pay check. The contingency of your severance is spelled out in the BDSI/Collegium separation paperwork. Failure to report new employment will result in forfeiture of the entire severance package and repayment is required. And yes they check. And yes they have attorneys on retainer for this very purpose. Health insurance until the end of lay off month.

Is it confirmed that they will pay folks for 60 days post seperation?

You are most likely correct. It is Friday and Plesha, Patten, Haggerty and Bailey have probably all met up for a few rounds of “soggy biscuit” to celebrate the screw they put on the salesforce

Guys, SP always does what’s in the best interest of the sales team. He tells us that every time they roll out a new bonus plan. He’ll take care of us
I don’t get all the SP bashing. I agree with the poster that he always looked out for the sales force (like no one else I’ve worked for). Unfortunately, I don’t think SP had a whole lot of control over the acquisition or it’s terms. That distinction would go to JB, the board of directors and a bevy of lawyers. Sure, SP will make out financially on this deal, but I bet he’d rather keep BDSI intact.

You don’t get it? SP kept pushing all of us to sell… SP didn’t give us any warning at all. That isn’t JB job SP is in charge of the sales force. Let’s stop pretending like they all didn’t know what was going to happen at the end of this. BDSI did the sales force wrong

Kinda like in January it’s such a great time to come here , we are growing etc.. Never mind I’m stabbing half of you in the back while I count my millions on this buy out . But hey I’ll pretend I didn’t know !!

Agreed. It’s done and done without any regard or respect to the salesforce in general. Many stayed in the field, also looked for other employment opportunities. The writing was on the wall in the initial Bailey call. I also believe that far too many reps took at face value the garbage that revolved around Collegium having a small force and would “need” BDSI reps. That message was relayed multiple times and kept many from doing their due diligence and aggressively looking for an alternative. This industry is rewarding yet cruel. This is one of many examples. Having said that I still hold Plesha and his minions accountable for lack of transparency and how they chose to communicate to those who were being offered to stay etc. He and his henchmen did not, and have not offered any true closure to the majority of the salesforce and kept them engaged and now the blunt of this underwhelming BO is on the shoulder of those without existing opportunities. BDSI had something to offer, it was an exciting time for sure and many, myself included thought it would reach to new heights. Wrong and it’s a shame really. Best of luck to all.
