Performance Layoffs??

I got laid off today and I'm still stunned. I have horrible access and my managed care coverage is awful. Farxiga is covered under 40% of the plans in my area and I'm the low performer. How about upper management and the market access team?? It would be interesting how many of the laid off reps work in areas that have limited access and poor insurance coverage. I'm sure it makes up 90% or more. Would love to see how many reps were laid off in the midwest versus other areas. My area got hammered.

Not just performance! There were territories with 50% market share and that’s not poor performance. It’s a shit show. Good people made a mockery of just to say get ur asses out there and bust it. The real problem is upper management

unfortunately does not matter what your market share is. Most of us are paid on growth and if you’re at the bottom, you get a 2. Two years of 2’s whether it’s your fault or not probably means you won’t survive long. Feel terrible, but it’s a performance culture now. I think it stinks and I’m sure many good people were let go today:(

My friend got laid off and he’s a great rep stuck in the armpit of humanity in terms of territories. As the OP mentioned, you can’t control access in the mega institutions and you are royally screwed if your coverage sucks on top of that. You could be the greatest rep in the world and still be deemed ineffective in a territory like this. Pathetic!!

What happened in Minnesota?

its laughable that this company is comparing reps from the north vs the south. Two completely different markets. The COE rankings are a joke. Can’t wait to see the first quarter goals. I’m sure it will be a repeat of last year. Everyone will be expected to grow the same due to the Caremark opportunity regardless of how big or small the opportunity is. My Caremark opportunity is three patients. I’m going to lose ten times that because of the savings card change and still be asked to grow four percent because that’s the average opportunity nationally.

I’m so sorry you were impacted today. The way AZ handled this is terrible. Everyone is in shock about the news. I suppose that was part of the desired outcome by management. It certainly doesn’t make me want to stay with this company nor does it motivate me to work harder! AZ has awful “leaders”.

im sure they ran a computer spreadsheet, rather than look at each individual person and their ability. I’m sure there were many great reps stuck in bad situations that are no longer part of the AZ family. So disappointing!! Merry Christmas SSLT
