Reorganization set for Q4

In a nut shell. Nobody wanted to buy the Device business of KC. So how do we serve up this lousy news..? "Hey, we have some great news! Kimberly-Clark is spinning off their device division into its own company". Nobody in Roswell is going to say that this is a shitty thing. They're all going to say how wonderful this is going to be. Funny how it seems to happen around the time JB is ready to retire. I won't even get into that.
For me, I'm just going to stick it out. The national meeting has me all fired up. Wow, I have a new product in my respiratory bag. Can't wait to see what the 2014 goals are going to look like with that. I can't wait to sell saline under the new company name. Woo hoo...

Because KC is not a healthcare company. Doesn't align with their corporate strategy and they are tired of us bothering them because they want to sell more diapers. We are not a consumer company and don't align with their corporate strategy, simple as that.

We may be only 1.6b in sales but we are the most profitable division of KC. By spinning off we can set our own goals, strategies and vision of what we want to be and spend money how WE want to spend it.

I doubt you still work here, but if you do, leave! Simple. Scared to see what might happen? Via con dios my friend. We will back fill you faster than you can blink. Just don't look back 2 years from now and regret your decision.

Oh, and who said it was Falk's decision, what makes you think that OUR management didn't start this process. Chew on that.

Actually, according to Tom at our national meeting, the healthcare division was the least profitable devision in the company

WooHoo medical would be a good name

Would think for sure there would be a company that would buy up the core device group. The "spin off" story is all a play on words.

If we gross 300 million in profit, then K-C would probably ask 1-1.2 billion for the company.
thats alot of money with no new product stream, competition and erosion of sales and profits. Not alot of companies have that kind of money laying around. Spinning the company off, revitalizing it, changing the culture to include new faces and products- then selling it makes more sense. Abernathy is really good as a leader. I suspect K-C will hold alot of stock in this new company as well, so they will have a vested interest in it succeeding. I, for one, am willing to give it a chance.

You ought to be banned from this blog for making such an assinine statement. Falk makes all of the decisions. God bless this sector if there are more like you out there.

With the current management nothing will change. Bad decisions as always. Now there will be tighter constraints due to meeting the streets expectations.

If you had a good investment of bricks and mortar would you sell it off NO!

You would keep it and reinvest. They are getting ride of a long term dog. Current management has beat this company up and driven it to the brink.

Even the fleas are jumping off this mangy dog! They will sell it piece meal as other companies may want parts, not the whole. Maybe they will take that sorry group of dog squezze that is out upper management.

Couldn't agree more with the investment on the bricks. It's almost like Obama Care and
Nancy Pelosi (Joanne Bauer) and Tom Falk (Barach Obama) telling is how great this "spin-off"
Is going to be.

The next "shoe to drop" will a big change in our health insurance plans. Don't be surprised to see the "mother ship" reduce coverage or throw us into the Obamacare exchange. They will do whatever necessary to dress this pig up for sale, don't believe the spin off bs.

The grass is greener with different rewards. Slightly smaller base, w $55k more on bonus and comm. No car but $550 per mth plus gas, plus tolls, parking, same as we have now full expenses. Its a good deal with products in the pipeline. I will ride out the year like my manager does daily. All for me people. kc has become a joke in the market place..

Whatever you say slappy!

Was just alerted to a position in the pain management division. Is this part of the new stand alone company? How is this division viewed in the marketplace, and what are top performers earning? Thanks in advance!
