thoughts on NSM??

How are things working out for you at ID? The picture of the kitten hanging in the tree with the caption "hang in there" comes to mind. Is anyone making money?

depends on what you mean by "making money". It's kind of a relative term. Everyone has different expectations our employment history. One guy making $100k might be happy, another guy making the same amount thinks he can't survive. Overall the company has a good culture, the balance between family and work is good, and quota is attainable. I'm not sure if any other implant company out there is giving a company car either. If you are looking to make $150k, implant sales is probably not for you. It still can be done, maybe with a name brand implant and being top 10% in your company. But it's a balance. YOu want to make more money, that usually comes with more stress and decrease in family work life balance. To each their own. Good luck out there!

You're soft. Not in the brains kind of way but more in the courage kind of way. Nobody hires lambs to be lions they hire lambs to stay lambs.

glad you think that. I'm just saying, i'm sick of the whining about how "I don't make enough money"....waaaa. If you think you are worth $150k-$200k then you know where the door is. Find another job.

If you aren't making 125k and above as an implant rep, you are not very good. Also, if you have no work/personal balance you are doing it wrong. Implant reps have about the best quality of life you could ask for. It's so easy even a caveman could do it.

well....since the base and commission structure at Implant Direct does not allow you to make $125K, makes it hard doesn't it??? As a regional rep, it tops out at $100k, unless you get year end bonus.

Maybe the reason you aren't making that much is because you can't read. I made no mention of Implant Direct in my post. You may want to re-read. Thanks for sharing ID's comp plan, wow what a turd!!

Poster is sales "leadership" from ID. Trying to bury the thread under the white male thread because it is too much truthful exposure won't work here.

Who is running ID these days??? I am not asking who has the title because we all know the guy with the title is only good at running his mouth.

well...this is an ID thread, so I was assuming you were speaking about this company specifically. it's not like it's a secret. you are the turd. Did I just let loose the Watergate files? The location of Jimmy Hoffa? Did I just give away the secret of KFC chicken? Who gives a shit. Most of the implant companies pay about the same. Commission and base may be different, but if you think you are going to come in and make $150k with all the implant companies you are mistaken. Too much competition out there...too many companies. It's watered down.

This is apropos coming from an Implant Direct rep. All you guys/gals sell on is price, period. Your products are me too. Your Salesforce is the "B" team per your own company, Nobel is the "A" team. You are wrong, must implant companies do not pay the same, just the shitty knock off ones. Your comp plans are copy cats of crappy comp plans. You can top out at 125??? That would be a major pay cut for me. Oh, I have no idea who ID rep is in my territory . My surgeons don't either......

this is hilarious. I'm sure you make tons of money. And i'm glad that you are "all in" at Straumann or Nobel or wherever it is you work....and believe the hype they sell you. But the fact of the matter is, we are not "me too". We are not "copy cats". Or maybe i'm wrong that straumann had to take a license from Implant Direct on their internal octagon connection? Or maybe i'm wrong that Straumann just started selling bone level tapered implants? Oh good idea...we did that 20 years ago. Or maybe i'm wrong that they copied our friction fit carrier on our SWISH implant to make their loxim carrier. Or maybe i'm wrong that Paragon/Core-Vent pioneered and invented the tapered screw vent and internal hex connection. You know..the one Zimmer sells today because they bought Paragon through an acquisition of Sulzer Medica. Nobel? Good if you like commerically pure titanium that fractures after 45ncm. They have nothing that we don't have. Get off your high horse. I know you hate pesky facts.

....and btw...every single day i have an appt with another doctor that "gets it". The implants all work.....and they say "why am i paying for straumann and nobel, or even zimmer" The lightbulb goes off. and if they didn't have referrals to worry about, they would have switched already. But they are too stupid and think their referrals really care whether or not it's Implant Direct or Nobel, when they look down on top of an implant and see an internal hex or tri-lobe. Pop a transfer in, take impression. It's not rocket science. Things are a changin boss.

i was an implant rep. Now I work for an emerging DSO. My ID rep has lost most of our business and said the Mgr. is applying pressure but no real help. I don't have the heart to reveal we have decided that ID will not be in our future. Everyone I talk to in the industry is in agreement.

How clueless are you? Implant Direct didn't exist 20 years ago. None of the implants you currently sell existed 20 years ago. Niznick started ID thinking surgeons were morons and didn't need direct sales people. He copied all of the "hot" existing implants from major competitors and thought he could sell them at discounted prices via the web and phone alone.

You need to get your facts straight.

how is the Legacy implant a "copy" of the zimmer implant, when Niznick's former company paragon invented it??! haha. Implant Direct is Paragon/Core-vent idiot. Just because it changes names, doesn't matter. It was a continuation of Niznick's former company. All of the implants Implant Direct sells use the same surface technology they used back in the paragon days going back to 1992. The hex was patented by niznick in 1986. All of the implants Implant Direct sells now in 2016 are variations of the past 20 years. Zimmer still uses the same surface technology as Implant Direct. Zimmer was making implants in Niznick's facility from 2000-2004. I have my facts straight. you are just in denial.

I can't believe how stupid you are. Paragon/Corevent IS Zimmer. You can't make the leap and say ID is Paragon. The TSV Zimmer sells is the SAME TSV Niznick invented. The Legacy is a COPY of that implant.

And Niznick is GONE from ID. That company has NOTHING to do with anything Niznick ever did other than to keep selling his cheap copies but utilizing a selling strategy Niznick thought he didn't need.
